The issue marked a year of publication since Lunaea became editor, and it shows. SageWoman began to subtly change, becoming more spiritual and less political, more graceful and relaxing, less confrontational. This issue is one big love letter to the Earth Goddess and a ritual for Mother Earth, a guide to crystal use (by Lunaea), "The Way of the Simple Country Pagan," description of holiday foods, an article "My Experience with Animal Allies" by (future) editor Anne Newkirk Niven, and an interview with womanspirit pioneer Shekinah Mountainwater, all tied together with the soaring artwork of Sudie Rakusin and Joanna Powell Colbert. 56 illustrated pages, published by Lunaea Weatherstone in Summer 1988.
